Job Description

Senior Decision Scientist at Tesco Bengaluru

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for:

  • Adhering to Tesco's Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and diligence.
  • Engaging directly with market leaders to transform complex business issues into analytical challenges and solutions, presented in business terminology.
  • Developing innovative solutions that enhance existing frameworks.
  • Ensuring high quality and timely delivery of analytical projects.
  • Writing efficient, well-structured code, and driving process automation to achieve efficiency gains.
  • Collaborating on the design, implementation, and measurement of analytical solutions.
  • Building and sharing knowledge assets and reusable modules on platforms like GitHub or Wiki.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of business needs and mastering Tesco processes through continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Executing tasks and transactions within set metrics and solving problems through detailed analysis of possible solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong Logical Reasoning and Proficiency in Advanced Excel.
  • Understanding of Advanced Statistical Concepts.
  • Expertise in Advanced SQL, Hive, Python, Tableau, R shiny.
  • Knowledge of Basic Statistical Concepts including measures of central tendency and regression analysis.
  • Familiarity with Decision Trees (CHAID, CART, RF, XGBoost).
