Position Overview

The Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness Operations Analytics team is at the forefront of transforming healthcare and improving consumer experiences through impactful analytic solutions and insights. As a pivotal member of the Analytics & Behavior Change (A&BC) Data Science team, you will engage in high-visibility analytic projects aligned with CVS Retail’s strategic priorities. Your role will involve driving revenue and profitability in CVS Health’s Retail Pharmacy business through comprehensive analytical solutions.

As a Senior Decision Scientist, you will focus on pharmacy contracting and profitability analytics, collaborating with stakeholders and team members to refine problem statements and develop impactful visualizations to convey your insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present meaningful, insight-driven materials on analytical results with recommendations to guide various audiences, including internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Strengthen relationships with stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact to understand strategic business analytics requirements and communicate project status.
• Partner with data scientists and data engineers to define and recommend solution approaches.
• Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve moderately complex business problems.
• Utilize data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and support business decisions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• 3+ years of programming experience in SQL and Python.
• 3+ years of experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), including developing POCs and end-to-end product implementations.
• Expertise in problem statement identification and strategy development.
• Proficiency in semantic models, data models, and the ability to analyze large datasets on cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles foundational to data science.
• Exceptional project management, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like Snowflake, Azure, and GCP.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare analytics.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to business partners.
• Proficiency with advanced analytics tools and languages for analyzing large data sets.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $97,335.00 - $206,000.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, and geography. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program.
