We are searching for a dedicated and experienced Senior Developer specialized in Data Visualizations and Application Development to join our dynamic team at Biogen. About This Role

The Senior Developer is required to be proficient in R or R Shiny programming, bringing a fervor for application and visualization development aimed at improving interactions with clinical trial data and enhancing our efficiency in clinical development. This position involves close engagement with cross-functional teams to deeply understand user needs and to craft exceptionally functional tools. You'll be encouraged to innovate within a supportive team framework that adheres to best practices in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop cutting-edge applications and visualizations using R, Shiny, and Markdown within our Data Visualizations and Application Development group (DVAD).
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including statistasians, data managers, medical personnel, and more to gather requirements and refine tools based on ongoing feedback.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables with minimal guidance, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of clinical data complexities.
• Continually enhance your skills and push the boundaries of technology applications in drug development.

Who You Are

As an ideal candidate, you are not only an experienced R/Shiny programmer with a rich background in developing applications and visualizations for clinical data but also someone who is adept at problem-solving, technology selection, and user collaboration to implement effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related field. At least 2 years of R programming and visualization experience, along with 3-5 years in digital and data technology roles.
• Preferred: Experience in Life Sciences, clinical data (CDISC knowledge is a plus), and proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, PHP, MySQL, along with tools like PowerBI and Tableau. Familiarity with Git, Github is advantageous.
