Role: Senior Cloud/Machine Learning (ML) DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned and motivated Senior Cloud/Machine Learning (ML) DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic AutoCAD team. You will be pivotal in designing and implementing new service offerings on a robust cloud foundation. Reporting to the Engineering Manager in the AutoCAD group, you'll streamline development and deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and ensure scalability and security. This hybrid role is based in Vancouver, Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new service offerings on a strong cloud foundation
  • Support development teams in utilizing our advanced machine learning operations (MLOps)
  • Lead the expansion of observability infrastructure, staying current with new technologies
  • Oversee sustainable incident response, blameless postmortems, and production improvements
  • Collaborate with software development and infrastructure teams to maintain multiple business offerings
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and infrastructure management with modern DevOps tools and practices
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
  • Manage and secure cloud-based environments, particularly AWS
  • Implement and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Design and implement security best practices throughout development and deployment pipelines
  • Participate in periodic on-call responsibility alongside fellow team members
  • Define and document best practices across all pillars of DevOps/SRE

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in DevOps / SRE or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Expertise with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Expertise with infrastructure as code, configuration management tools, and cloud automation (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Solid understanding of networking and security concepts
  • Experience in defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Go, PowerShell)
  • Experience in Linux Systems Administration, scripting, and troubleshooting in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes certifications)
  • Experience with microservices, serverless architecture
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana)
  • Proficiency in Jenkins, Groovy, CDK

Salary Transparency: For Canada-BC based roles, the anticipated starting base salary ranges from $98,600 to $144,650. Offers are based on experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. Our comprehensive compensation package includes annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a wide array of benefits.
