About the Position

As a Senior DevOps/Data Engineer at BCF, you will collaborate closely with our Solutions Architect and be tasked with a dual-focus role:

• DevOps/Infrastructure: You will spend 70-80% of your time managing and automating our AWS infrastructure, ensuring the secure and efficient operation of our systems.
• Data Engineering: Accounting for 20-30% of your time, you will be involved in the expansion and maintenance of our data lakehouse infrastructure, enhancing our data capabilities using modern tools and methodologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the infrastructure strategy alongside the DevOps team.
• Implementing and managing AWS solutions and services, ensuring high scalability and security.
• Driving data engineering projects, including design and operation of data pipelines and data models.
• Adopting and integrating advanced technologies, processes, and services to enhance our system-wide capabilities.
• Providing leadership and insights on a broad range of data and infrastructure topics to the engineering team.

Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Minimum of 8 years experience in DevOps and 5+ years in managing AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in Terraform/Terragrunt and event processing infrastructures.
• At least 2 years as a Data Engineer with proficiency in Databricks, Spark, and Python.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and both relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience in setting up monitoring solutions and conducting security vulnerability assessments.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in startup environments.
• Background in financial services.
• Proficiency in JAVA/Scala.

Location & Travel

This position is based at any of our offices in Belcourt, Minneapolis, San Diego, or Atlanta and follows a hybrid workplace model with a flexible two-day office policy. Travel is minimal, typically around 10-15%.
