Job Description

Are you enthusiastic about solving complex digital design verification challenges? HII Mission Technologies invites innovative thinkers to uncover difficult-to-activate corner-case bugs and vulnerabilities in FPGA and ASIC designs. As a Senior Digital Verification Engineer, you will lead teams of digital designers, utilizing top industry-standard functional verification tools and proprietary software to verify design function and integrity. Your expertise in cybersecurity, electronic warfare, encryption, radar, and/or satellite communications will be invaluable in guiding design verification approaches.

Essential Job Responsibilities

You will develop models, transactors, stimuli, monitors, and test benches for simulating and uncovering hidden behaviors in gate-level digital netlists. Clear documentation and test cases demonstrating identified bugs or deviations from the specifications are required. Collaboration with teammates to achieve cohesive results and improved processes is a key component of this role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • US Citizenship
  • Willingness to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 7 years, PhD/JD with 4 years, or High School Diploma with 13 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Proficiency in modern digital verification and modeling languages (e.g., SystemVerilog, SystemC, C/C++, Matlab)
  • Understanding of UVM concepts and various verification techniques
  • Experience with functional simulators and implementing scripts for batched verification tasks
  • Familiarity with revision control systems for maintaining, sharing, and deploying code
  • Experience in debugging and isolating issues with gate-level netlists

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of object-oriented, embedded, assembly, or machine code programming
  • Experience in software or hardware reverse-engineering
  • FPGA design or verification experience
  • Active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance
  • Familiarity with IC trust, assurance, or security verification techniques
  • Experience with logical equivalence checkers and formal ABV
