Role Overview: Senior Director – Data Engineering & Analytics

As the Senior Director of Data Engineering & Analytics, focusing on Commercial Global Data Platforms and Analytics, you will play a crucial role in GSK’s journey towards becoming a data-driven leader in healthcare. This leadership position, directly reporting to the VP - Commercial Platforms, Analytics & Technology, demands a proactive partner in pioneering cloud data solutions and analytics strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage expert knowledge of data engineering and data analytics to lead large-scale projects across multiple teams.
• Architect and develop cloud-native data platforms and solutions that are scalable and robust, supporting AI/ML capabilities.
• Participate in all phases of data management, from architecture to implementation, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure effective team leadership and management within the data engineering and analytics department.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to align data strategies and improve business outcomes.

Who Are You?

Ideal candidates will have a profound technical foundation in cloud solutions architecture, data engineering, and data architecture, with a minimum of 10 years in a similar role. Experience with Azure Cloud, Databricks, and significant leadership in data-driven environments will set you apart.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, with over 18+ years of total professional experience.
• Expertise in Azure Cloud Solution Architecture and familiarity with various data services and components.
• Proven ability in leading diverse teams focused on data engineering and cloud platforms.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant field or Azure Cloud/Data Bricks Certification.
