Senior Director, Data Science Job Opportunity

Position Summary

As the Senior Director of Data Science, you will leverage your expertise in analytics, machine learning, and data visualization to support business objectives. Leadership, business acumen, and mentoring skills will be crucial to success in this role.

What You'll Do

Code Development and Testing

Utilize coding languages such as SQL, Java, C++, and Python. Conduct testing using methods like static and dynamic testing, software composition analysis, and manual penetration testing. Engage in business domain understanding to write and test code, develop application features, deploy software to production servers, document code, maintain playbooks, and provide progress updates.

Understanding Business Context

Leverage your knowledge of industry factors, business practices across domains, and relevant metrics to evaluate business cases for projects. Align strategies, initiatives, and projects with business objectives. Articulate business cases, mentor team members, engage with the community, and represent the company brand.

Data Visualization

Implement advanced visualization techniques using tools like Python, R libraries, GGplot, Matplotlib, Ploty, Tableau, and PowerBI. Design data representations for complex datasets, build compelling data-driven stories, influence diverse audiences, and guide junior associates in data visualization best practices.

Model Assessment and Validation

Evaluate model accuracy and performance using techniques such as Chi square, ROC curve, and root mean square error. Document and maintain testing information for model validation and tuning.

Model Deployment and Scaling

Deploy models, ensure sustainability, and monitor lifecycle management. Collaborate to create user interfaces that support model usage and assist key stakeholders.

Data Strategy

Utilize your understanding of data ecosystems, data governance, quality standards, and storage scalability to develop data strategies. Apply these strategies to solve complex business problems across multiple functions or domains.

Technology Problem Formulation

Collaborate with stakeholders to redefine problem statements and design data-driven solutions using big data analytics and automation techniques. Optimize goals and deliverables for business problems, focusing on return on investment.

Analytical Modeling

Develop advanced statistical models and machine learning techniques to enhance data analysis. Lead the development of big data predictive technology models, leveraging new data sources and implementing novel machine learning models.

Salary Range

The annual salary range for this position is $192,000.00-$384,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and potential stock options.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and 7 years of experience, OR
• Master’s degree in relevant fields and 5 years of experience, OR
• 9 years of related experience
• 3 years of supervisory experience
