Job Overview: Senior Director of Data Strategy and Analytics

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Director of Data Strategy and Analytics to lead our data initiatives in alignment with our mission and vision. The successful candidate will set data strategy, design and implement robust analytics infrastructure, lead the Analytics Engineering and Data Analytics teams, and drive data literacy and governance across the organization. Collaboration with the Head of Data Security to ensure data integrity and confidentiality is essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and strategy, using data to drive decision-making and maximize impact.
• Design and implement scalable and secure data infrastructure to support data storage, processing, and analysis.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers alongside the Sr. Manager of Analytics Engineering, focusing on advanced ETL and data transformation processes.
• Oversee a team of data analysts with the Director of Analytics, ensuring the development and execution of analytical projects that support key business objectives.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT, and the Head of Data Security to establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
• Work with Research and Analytics teams to improve data discoverability and ensure efficient, consistent data use across the organization.
• Stay informed on emerging trends in advanced analytics, AI, and big data management, and provide strategic recommendations for business innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find opportunities for leveraging data to drive innovation and operational efficiency.
• Communicate key insights and findings to senior leadership and stakeholders, advocating for data-driven decision-making.
• Promote continuous learning and development within the data strategy and analytics teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Encourage data and AI literacy across the organization by providing training, resources, and support.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in data strategy, analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful data-driven solutions.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading high-performing teams in a dynamic environment.
• Expertise in data management, including data modeling, data governance, and data quality management.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
