Vir Biotechnology is searching for a Senior Director of Technical Operations Business Systems and Data Strategy to implement and advance Vir's global data strategy and manage its supply chain, manufacturing, and quality systems portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain, you will bridge business requirements with technical solutions to tackle business problems. You should be a multifaceted professional capable of adapting to different roles and approaching technology projects with strategic insight. As part of a remote team, you will help construct global solutions in a matrix environment. RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES Global Data Strategy Realization: - Develop and execute the Tech Ops project roadmap to achieve Vir's global data strategy. - Lead data management teams to form Vir's enterprise data architecture, data operations, and data analytics. - Keep updated with new standards, methods, tools, platforms, and industry trends to innovate enterprise data. Cooperate with business teams and IT to identify new business requirements and applications. - Oversee the design, implementation and compliance of Vir's data governance frameworks and systems. Ensure strategic and innovative use of data. - Meet the standards for data quality, usability, availability and accuracy. Maximize value from data by improving revenue, processing methods, compliance and cost reduction. - Collaborate with stakeholders in setting up and maintaining global data governance policies, standards and procedures. Technical Operations Business Systems: - Launch processes and system changes through automation, decision support and operations performance management. - Manage the Technical Operations technology portfolio including supply chain, CMC, manufacturing and quality systems. Work with IT to design and implement the IT roadmap. - Identify and lead business teams in designing and employing enterprise systems to streamline operations and increase efficiencies. - Work with product and technology teams to integrate product/platform experiences, data and workflows. - Partner with the Supply Chain, Finance and Quality leadership to reach corporate and department goals. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - Hold a Bachelor's Degree and have a minimum of 18+ years of experience at a senior level in data strategy, governance, data management and analytics, combined with a solid record of successful business systems implementation or possess an equivalent mix of education and experience. - Have experience in building successful teams, delivering complex projects, and developing productive business partnerships. - Have led digital transformation projects, applying process reengineering and technology to deliver outcomes quickly and efficiently with global teams. - Possess excellent knowledge of business software like NetSuite, SAP, Veeva, SmartSheets, Tableau and other supply chain, CMC manufacturing and quality systems. Have experience integrating product/platform experiences, data and workflows. - Have accomplished record of building teams and developing people. Comfortable working with a variety of people in direct and matrixed relationships. - Have exceptional skills in strategic communication to cultivate positive relationships with a diverse set of partners. - Capable of thinking holistically and championing the digital experience.
