Job Description

We are after a proficient Data Engineer to build new, advanced data ingestion pipelines employing cutting-edge technologies such as AWS Athena, Lambdas, Python, and Spark. Your focus will be on producing relevant data pipelines and tools to deliver a solid data ingestion framework.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of IT experience.
  • Experience with Frontrunner.
  • Proficiency in process automation and enhancements, and skill in identifying and automating repetitive elements.
  • Experience managing Data engineering operations / enhancement projects with a technical-consultant focus.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, PySpark, S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue, Athena, EC2, IAM, Redshift, DMS, Airflow, Jenkins, Snowflake.
  • Experience with implementing comprehensive data solutions (ingestion, storage, integration, processing, access) on AWS.
  • Experience in migrating data from conventional relational database systems to AWS relational databases such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, and Redshift.
  • Prior background in and experience with data engineering/analytics.
  • Practical experience with Cloud DB platforms (Snowflake is preferred), building data pipelines & SQL, and Python for Data Engineering.
  • Experience in performing, supporting and leading all facets of Data Engineering strategy.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis.
  • Capability to secure effective data pipeline engineering, deployment, continuous operations, and ongoing improvement.
  • Skills to manage and execute data operations and data engineering requirements including automation and optimization.
  • Highly eager, self-driven, with an ability to work in a fast-paced setting while managing concurrent priorities.
  • An inventive problem solver and a highly cooperative teammate able to work as a vital contributor.
  • Certification in Data Engineering and/or Cloud Platforms strongly preferred. Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present findings to Senior Management.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA. Candidates are expected to visit the office 4 times a month.
