Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy and Scalability, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our ESG Research capabilities to meet the increasing demand for actionable insights from our investor clients.

About the Role

As a highly motivated and analytical Associate Vice President, you will shape the future of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) research. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Enhancing our framework to evaluate non-financial data and measure sustainability practices.
  • Translating our research into investor solutions by liaising with stakeholders across ISS ESG, including product, technology, and development.
  • Providing essential management support to our global team, ensuring performance, efficiency, and streamlined processes.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from various international offices.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Drive scalability initiatives across ESG research.
  • Stay abreast of scientific research relevant to sustainability.
  • Leverage ESG disclosures and data to develop high-quality research efficiencies.
  • Identify alternative sources of non-financial information.
  • Assist investor clients with utilizing our research and streamlining research formats.
  • Conduct competitive analyses.

Qualifications

What you'll bring to ISS STOXX:

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • CFA designation is a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., GRI, TCFD, ESRS, IFRS).
  • Proficiency in modeling, data analysis, and quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Location and Compensation

This role is based in New York City. The expected base pay range is $95,000 - $105,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.
