Your New Role

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role within our Central Technology function. You will be responsible for creating intuitive, responsive frontend interfaces that integrate flawlessly with backend APIs. This role involves critical contributions to the development of sophisticated AI functionalities designed to enhance the diverse range of Digital Science products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement responsive and accessible frontend applications.
• Work collaboratively with UX/UI designers to transform designs into stylish, functional user interfaces.
• Ensure compatibility across multiple browsers and optimize applications to enhance speed and scalability.
• Seamlessly integrate frontend applications with backend services, keeping in mind backend limitations and capabilities.
• Maintain high coding standards focusing on security and data protection.
• Lead unit and end-to-end testing of frontend components to ensure their reliability and resilience.
• Assist in backend development tasks to support and optimize integrated functionality.

What You'll Bring to the Role

As an ideal candidate, you will have solid expertise in modern frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NextJS, and React. Experience in backend development or familiarity with server-side programming and databases will be a valuable addition. Effective problem-solving skills, robust testing abilities using tools like Jest or Cypress, and excellent communication skills are essential to succeed in this position.
