Our comprehensive Roche Digital Pathology portfolio combines cutting-edge hardware, software, and image analysis algorithms. Starting with our high-quality VENTANA slide scanners, known for their reliability and superior image resolution, we provide pathology labs with tools they can trust. Our unique scanners ensure consistent, reproducible images with a low rescan rate, incorporating built-in calibration and a tray-based system to reduce handling errors and enhance reliability.

Your Impact

As a Senior Imaging Scientist, you will collaborate with a team of expert imaging scientists and software developers to address complex problems in Digital Pathology. Your contributions will span from developing algorithms for technology assessment and internal projects to implementation in commercial medical devices. You will be actively involved in image processing, machine learning, pattern recognition, and data mining, continuously updating your skills to meet industry standards.

Additionally, you will document and identify Intellectual Property opportunities, present findings to project groups within Roche, and participate in scientific conferences, establishing yourself as a key player in your field.

Who You Are

You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related area, with at least four years of relevant experience (two years with a Master’s Degree). Proficiency in Matlab, C++, or Python, coupled with a strong grasp of scientific principles and extensive experience in image analysis, computer vision, and deep learning models (such as PyTorch and TensorFlow), distinguishes you as the ideal candidate.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master’s Degree and experience in data analysis, medical devices, and specifically digital pathology tools or software will be highly advantageous.

Salary and Benefits

Based in Santa Clara, CA, the expected salary range for this position is $140,400.00 - $260,800.00, responsive to experience and qualifications, with potential for a discretionary annual bonus reflecting both individual and company performance.
