Job Responsibilities

  • Design robust and scalable data products as a Data Architect.
  • Provide regular technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams.
  • Develop solution designs and approaches to integrate with internal and external applications based on business needs.
  • Make decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
  • Actively contribute to the engineering community, advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Encourage the use and application of leading-edge technologies among peers and project decision-makers.
  • Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 15+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of software applications and technical processes, especially in technical disciplines such as cloud, AI, ML, etc.
  • Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with minimal oversight.
  • Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience with AWS S3, Glue, AWS Athena, EMR, Lambda, Step-functions with API Gateway, AWS ECS, AWS EKS, AWS Fargate, Kubernetes, AWS EC2, and AWS Lake Formation.
  • Proven experience in testing, releasing, and CI/CD pipeline deployments in AWS public cloud.
  • Proficiency with Bitbucket, Terraform, Jenkins, Artifactory, DataDog, and ServiceNow.
  • Experience in building RESTful web services and proficiency in Python.
  • Knowledge of database platforms like AuroraDB, DynamoDB, Snowflake is advantageous.
  • Ability to build Cloud Native applications from a domain-driven design and micro-services architecture perspective, supporting multiple API versions.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience working at code level.
  • AWS Solution Architect certification.
  • Prior experience with metadata management and data infrastructure.
  • Experience with Big Data (Spark), AWS Cloud, or AI/ML experience.
