About the Role

We are searching for an accomplished Senior Machine Learning Engineer to model functional cell types and cell states using multimodal biological datasets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-performing machine learning-powered products in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex biological problems.
  • Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of machine learning systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and uphold coding standards and best practices within the team.
  • Transform poorly defined problems into clear, actionable objectives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of industry experience in machine learning engineering.
  • Graduate studies in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Life Sciences with a focus on AI/ML techniques.
  • Experience in software engineering with advanced skills in Python and/or C++.
  • Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other deep learning frameworks.
  • Experience in shipping machine learning-powered products.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science or equivalent in Life Sciences with a focus on Machine Learning preferred.
  • Experience in the biomedical sciences, particularly genetics, molecular biology, or AI-driven drug discovery.
  • Knowledge of best practices in machine learning, software engineering, and the deployment of ML services.
  • Familiarity with modern ML architectures, platforms, and backend systems.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salary for new hires ranges from $153,000 to $207,000, depending on factors such as work location, skills, experience, and education level. This position also includes an annual bonus and eligibility for our share-based long-term incentive program.
