The Opportunity

We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to make a significant impact within our Machine Learning team. If you're passionate about developing cutting-edge ML technologies, particularly in natural language processing (NLP) and generative AI, and have a knack for deploying transformational AI solutions, we want to hear from you!

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Databook, you will:

  • Lead the creation and deployment of advanced machine learning models focused on NLP and generative AI applications.
  • Design and rapidly prototype innovative solutions, ensuring they can be scaled effectively for production.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to seamlessly integrate ML technologies into our core products.
  • Keep pace with industry developments to continually refine our offerings.
  • Mentor and lead junior engineers and drive projects from inception to completion with the ML team.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in machine learning and NLP, with a focus on generative AI technologies.
  • Expertise in training transformer-based models and managing multi-GPU setups.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python and familiarity with PyTorch/TensorFlow, NumPy, and cloud platforms like AWS/GCP.
  • A history of leading technical teams and successfully delivering ML-driven products with measurable results.
  • Strong communication and ability to lead with a preference for candidates capable of working onsite three days per week.
