As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Hopper, you will be at the forefront of solving complex data and engineering challenges. Your work will empower Hopper to offer cutting-edge travel solutions, helping millions of customers tackle common travel issues efficiently.

This role focuses on leveraging Hopper's fintech products to enhance and deploy innovative pricing models across global platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to improve existing machine learning pricing models and create new frameworks to optimize product pricing. You will manage the full lifecycle of model development, deployment, and performance tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate pricing based on dynamic demand environments and external factors.
  • Identify mispriced segments and implement scalable solutions to correct pricing models.
  • Reevaluate and innovate product construction and UX to enhance customer experience through data-backed business cases.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines that drive decision-making processes.
  • Measure business performance by refining KPI metrics and creating ongoing reporting frameworks.
  • Discover new revenue growth opportunities by becoming an expert on our data and customers.

  • Proven track record in solving complex problems using data with a strong business impact.
  • High attention to detail and ability to create scalable data solutions.
  • Strong creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting pricing decisions to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and deploying pricing models using modern technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data creation, maintenance, and analysis.
  • Expertise in Python, machine learning workflows, and ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualization to convey ML model behaviors and business insights.
  • Experience working on consumer products and deploying high-impact models at scale.
