Job Description

Our Technology and Platform Services department designs and secures the platform central to all our services, ensuring scalability and continuous improvement through innovation and collaboration.

We are looking for a driven Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join our expanding AI Center of Excellence team, responsible for utilizing machine learning to foster innovation throughout the organization and speed up positive impacts on our planet and society. 

Global responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Working with extensive, complex data sets to solve challenging business issues by applying advanced analytical methods as required
• Articulating and translating business inquiries into technical solutions
• Utilizing Python, MLflow, Azure stack (e.g., Azure cloud, Azure ML, Azure Data Factory), and Databricks to provide end-to-end solutions
• Building, benchmarking, and maintaining machine learning models
• Promoting machine learning best practices
• Maintaining close contact with customers to assess their needs and recommend solutions that improve customer satisfaction and increase business value
• Staying ahead of technology trends in, but not limited to, AI and ML and applying this knowledge to the key challenges faced by EcoVadis 

Qualifications

Education and experience

• PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics/Applied Math, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics) 
• 5+ years of comprehensive experience in machine learning and data mining techniques
• Proven experience in using machine learning techniques and algorithms for classification/regression issues in industry
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, )
• Excellent comprehension of architectures used in NLP, such as transformers and RNN models and NLP tasks (e.g., named entity recognition(NER), entity linking, question answering, semantic search) 
• Capability to design testable software components independently in well-scoped scenarios, with simplicity, observability and maintenance as key considerations, and to apply ML and software development best practices
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration in the development of ML products and services (e.g., Engineers, Product Managers) is advantageous
