We're excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Manager – AI Diagnostics within our Diagnostic Center of Excellence, a key unit of Alexion R&D. This role is crucial in advancing our mission by developing and commercializing cutting-edge diagnostic solutions.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager – AI Diagnostics, you will:

• Act as a subject matter expert in AI Software as a Medical Device, overseeing both development and commercialization.
• Analyze the global diagnostic landscape for diseases targeted by Alexion, developing AI diagnostics to reduce the diagnostic journey.
• Create specifications for AI diagnostics and collaborate with stakeholders across tech industries, healthcare, and startups to bring AI Software and Medical Devices to market.
• Manage internal stakeholder relationships and lead external digital business development efforts including RFPs, negotiations, and alliance management.
• Guide and complete multi-year collaborations with speed and precision.

Qualifications Needed

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• Minimum of 2+ years in a pharmaceutical/MedTech/HealthTech setting, developing AI products under GxP protocols.
• A PhD or equivalent in biomedical engineering, computer science, or a related field with a proven track record in medical research for AI products or medical device development.
• In-depth knowledge of AI SaMD regulatory standards (DICOM, HL7) and relevant legal expertise in AI, medical devices, and anti-bribery and corruption laws.
• A robust delivery mindset with demonstrated experience in driving innovation in a structured environment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams by setting direction and providing guidance without direct authority.
• Self-starter with the ability to also execute hands-on work when necessary.

Preferred Additional Experience

Candidates with experience in global regulatory submissions for AI SaMD and a thorough understanding of the drug development process will have an advantage. Knowledge in rare disease fields, while not essential, will be highly regarded.
