As the Senior Manager of Data Engineering, your expertise should include various data engineering technical components such as Data Ingestion, Big Data processing, Data Modeling, Data Quality, and Data Governance. You should have thorough understandings of large-scale data lake/data warehouse/lake house solutions incorporating multiple platforms from RDBMS to Distributed to Columnar to Cloud. In this role, you will help build the new analytics environment that will empower GoDaddy’s business and set our customers up for success. What you'll get to do… • Recruit, run, develop, and retain a team of data engineers. • Advocate for a data culture where engineers proudly do their best work daily. • Set technical excellence standards for our movement into the cloud data ecosystem. • Collaborate with peers teams located in the US and EMEA regions. • Conduct code and design reviews to ensure compliance with standards and quality. • Integrate new data from various sources into our data & analytical ecosystem. • Ensure business value delivery without compromising quality in fast-paced environments. • Improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes continually. • Triage possible courses of action in a high-ambiguity environment using both quantitative analysis and business judgment. • Interface and collaborate with our Business Analysis and Data Science teams to understand their common data problems and create scalable solutions. • Collaborate with product engineering, data engineering teams and security, privacy, and legal teams to deliver solutions that comply with GoDaddy's security and privacy policies. Your experience should include… • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in data architecture and business intelligence. • 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams and in developing big data solutions using technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark. • Expertise in data modeling, metadata management, data quality, and optimizing distributed computing systems. • Experience delivering complete analytic solutions using AWS services (S3, Athena, Kinesis, Redshift, EMR, Glue). • Proficiency in Python, Scala, and Java programming. You might also have… • Experience in Exploratory Data Analysis (dashboarding, plotting, etc.) using machine learning technologies and algorithms. • Good knowledge of standard ML techniques (e.g., Regression, Classification, Anomaly, Forecasting) by using standard ML Libraries part of Spark, Python, etc. We've got your back...
