Key Responsibilities:
- The Data Engineer is tasked with designing, building, and maintaining our data products, overseeing their evolution, and employing the most appropriate data architecture necessary for our organization's data needs in support of Patient Safety and Regulatory.
- Responsible for supplying high quality data products and analytics-ready data solutions for GDD
- Develop and maintain pipelines to input data from various sources into our data warehouse
- Create and manage data models to facilitate our reporting and analytical needs
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for efficient performance and scalability
- Cooperate with data analysts and data scientists to comprehend their data needs and ensure the data infrastructure can accommodate their requirements
- Guarantee data quality and reliability through data testing and validation
- Configure and oversee security protocols to shield sensitive data
- Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics
- Work closely with the Enterprise Data and Analytics Platform team, other functional data pods and Data Community lead to shape and adopt our data and technology strategy.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert on GDD Data & Analytics Solutions and build domain knowledge of the GDD specific area
- Responsible for assessing GDD Data enhancements and projects and evaluate capacity and prioritization along with onshore and vendor teams
- Well-versed in evolving trends in Data platforms and Product based implementation
- Manage and provide leadership for the resources supporting projects, enhancements, and rectifying issues
- Possess a mindset of full ownership from start to finish in driving initiatives
- Able to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision
- Effectively mentor other team members to unlock their full potential
- Past experience of working in an Agile/Product based environment
- Offer strategic feedback to vendors on service delivery and balance workload with vendor teams
Qualifications & Experience:
