Position: Director of Digital Planning & Governance

The Director of Digital Planning & Governance is a senior leadership role overseeing strategic alignment, budget planning, portfolio management, organizational communications, enterprise architecture, and data governance for WM Digital. This role ensures IT initiatives align with business goals, optimizes IT resources, and fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation. Reporting to the Senior Director of Planning & Data Services, this role also directs an enterprise-wide data governance program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Grow and manage the Planning & Governance team (5-7 resources).
  • Lead the IT strategic plan, Digital roadmap, and budget development and execution.
  • Manage Digital performance, defining KPIs, updating leadership, and recommending improvements.
  • Oversee IT portfolio management, ensuring projects are prioritized, resourced, monitored, and delivered effectively.
  • Design and manage IT organization communications, including monthly meetings and quarterly townhalls.
  • Oversee enterprise architecture to align IT standards with business strategy.
  • Lead the data governance function, establishing frameworks and processes for high-quality data management.
  • Guide data users on governance best practices, policies, and standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role requires management through multiple managerial levels, including direct supervision of full-time employees and possibly indirect supervision of other contributors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with four years of relevant experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Eight years of relevant experience is required; ten years of IT management, planning, and governance experience is preferred.
