The Customer Support Platform team at PayPal is dedicated to enhancing customer experience using advanced technology. Utilizing ML operations, we focus on complaint identification, contact categorization, and the development of next-generation AI-powered bots. These technologies help us understand and address underlying customer service issues, enhancing support for both team members and customers globally.

What You'll Do:

As a key player in our team, you will:

• Design and create robust data pipelines to support enterprise-scale machine learning systems.
• Transform models from development stages to fully operational production systems.
• Develop and implement scalable machine learning services and tools for training and inference phases.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Apply best software engineering practices to machine learning environments, affirming model integrity and data security.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to refine system requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot deployed models, ensuring they effectively address the company's strategic goals and operational needs.

What We Require:

The ideal candidate for the role of Senior ML Ops Engineer should possess:

• 5 - 8 years of experience working with Python, Spark, Pandas, and Apache Airflow.
• Proven expertise in big data technologies including BigQuery, Hadoop, SQL, Hive, GCP, and Azure.
• Strong background in Java and REST APIs, along with knowledge of machine learning deployment tools such as Seldon and Triton.
• Experience in Jenkins CI/CD for operationalizing machine learning models.
• Capability to build large-scale data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
