Job Description

In the role of Senior Platform Engineer in the ML Platform team within the AI, Analytics and Data Domain, you will collaborate with other platform engineers to develop top-tier machine learning platform products. These products assist ML Product teams in adhering to organizational protocols, increasing their productivity and reducing their time-to-market. Your responsibility will be primarily engineering-centric, working to provide solutions for ML Product Teams. These solutions encompass continuous integration and development workflows, model training pipelines, model serving and observational solutions, and reusable libraries. In addition, you will also be able to develop various technical enablers to facilitate large-scale machine learning solutions. Moreover, you will: 

  • collaborate in an Agile team, designing and developing ML Platform solutions
  • create various reusable technical enablers to expedite Advanced Analytics and AI product development, such as automated machine learning model training and lifecycle management of machine learning models, advanced data profiling, and much more
  • Use your understanding of software architecture and software design patterns to write scalable, maintainable, well-designed and forward-looking software

Qualifications

You are more focused on the opportunities and solutions than the problems. Furthermore, we believe you are:

  • An experienced software developer (3-5 years) with a strong mindset of producing scalable and high-grade software products. You comprehend the challenges of designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
  • Passionate about distributed computing and machine learning technologies.
  • An expert at programming in Python. Not just familiar with the language, but also fully aware of best practices, code structure, design patterns, development workflow, testing, etc.
  • Passionate about testing your code and following test-driven development.
  • Experienced in DevOps and automating software development processes, like using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes etc.
  • Experienced in at least one cloud solution such as AWS, Azure or GCP (preferably GCP).
  • You have probably developed machine learning applications before, or at least interested in machine learning and data science
  • A great team player in an Agile team setup, willing to take on diverse tasks to meet sprint commitments and to achieve our goal together
  • Fluent in English
