About Our Team

You will be an integral part of the Artificial Intelligence Competence Center within the Central Technology Office (CTO). Here, our dedicated teams focus on pioneering products that sense, think, connect, and act. We collaborate extensively both internally and externally to align our innovative efforts with customer needs, facilitating real-world applications and advancements in Edge AI technologies.

Key Projects and Responsibilities

Our recent projects include Software- and Hardware-Aware Neural Architecture Search, Mixed-Precision Quantization, and machine learning protection through model watermarking. As a Senior Principal AI/ML-Compiler Expert, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the architectural design and evaluation of AI/ML compiler technology tailored for cutting-edge workload requirements.
• Enhancing the compatibility and functionality of AI/ML compiler frameworks like Apache TVM or MLIR IREE alongside custom Neural Processing Units (NPUs).
• Proactively collaborating with NXP business lines to identify and integrate advanced AI solutions and methodologies.
• Communicating continuously with stakeholders to align AI tooling and compiler framework development with business objectives.

What We Are Looking For

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A PhD in Computer Science, with significant experience in Machine Learning, Edge AI, and Embedded Systems.
• At least 8 years of industry experience in software and hardware engineering.
• Proven expertise in NPU design, AI/ML-driven processor architecture, and strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• An excellent track record of contributions to the embedded ML community, through publications, symposia, or lectures.
