Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Principal Data Engineer, you will:

• Excel in designing and implementing effective data strategies for large-scale production environments.
• Lead and oversee software development projects, ensuring hands-on delivery and leadership in development.
• Architect and design robust, scalable, and reliable data systems using best practices and design patterns.
• Develop tools facilitating self-serve access to data systems.
• Build and optimize data pipelines for both batch and stream processing using AWS services, Databricks, and Airflow.
• Ensure resilience and reliability of applications through open tracing, monitoring, and load testing.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

• Extensive experience in operating data-driven systems in cloud environments, focusing on feature stores, data pipelines, transformation, and quality management.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as Pytorch or TensorFlow is a significant plus.
• Strong communication skills and a proven track record of leading organization-wide collaborations.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring senior engineers and collaborating with applied scientists, engineers, and product managers.
• A deep understanding of monitoring and maintaining data pipelines.
