The Role

As a Senior Privacy Engineer, you will own the Privacy roadmap, ensuring that robust privacy protections are seamlessly integrated across all platforms. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing privacy solutions to safeguard customer data across all systems while deploying privacy-enhancing technologies at scale. Your deep technical knowledge will help you lead a cross-functional privacy engineering team, engage with key stakeholders, and align our privacy strategy with organizational goals.

What You Will Do

  • Spearhead the strategic development and execution of Moveworks’ Privacy Roadmap
  • Lead the creation and continuous refinement of privacy solutions, including but not limited to privacy-preserving machine learning algorithms and comprehensive data privacy controls
  • Conduct thorough Privacy Reviews, educating and guiding stakeholders throughout the process
  • Utilize your expertise in machine learning and software engineering to deliver privacy-focused solutions
  • Collaborate closely with teams across machine learning, product development, infrastructure, and data science to design and implement privacy-centric initiatives
  • Implement robust Privacy Enhancing Technologies
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations
  • Perform risk assessments and exceptions
  • Define and measure key privacy metrics
  • Create and maintain privacy-related materials for both internal and external audiences

What You Bring To The Table

  • 5+ years of experience in Privacy Engineering
  • 4+ years of work experience in Python, Golang, Java, and/or C++
  • Demonstrated expertise in core privacy technologies and methodologies, including anonymization techniques and data protection strategies.
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining privacy solutions
  • Experience building long-lasting relationships with teams
  • Ability to identify privacy risks, develop mitigation plans, and implement solutions
  • Familiarity with global privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
  • A high level of curiosity about engineering outside of your immediate discipline and an incessant desire to learn
  • BS+ in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience driving one or more stages of a machine learning problem-solving lifecycle, such as experiment setup, dataset curation, model training, offline evaluation, error analysis, deployment, and online evaluation
  • Experience in AI fairness, privacy, permission controls, safety, and/or security

Compensation Range: $212,000 - $255,000
