We are now hiring a Datacenter Product Engineer! NVIDIA Corporation is a leading force in visual computing technology worldwide. Our invention, the GPU, functions as the visual cortex of present-day computers and is fundamental to our products and services. NVIDIA has evolved into a specialized platform company that focuses on four major markets – Gaming, Professional Visualization, Datacenter, and Automotive – where visual computing is not only vital but highly appreciated. Our work also unveils new universes to investigate and powers incredible creativity and discovery, enabling what was once considered science fiction, like artificial intelligence and self-driving cars.
Working closely with your colleagues across various engineering teams, you will successfully bring new systems for NVIDIA's HGX GPU Accelerated Server Platforms into production. These customized systems are optimized for expanding environments in Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Analytics. With groundbreaking technology capable of unprecedented performance levels, NVIDIA’s HGX portfolio is arguably the most complex systems platform ever developed. This product family signifies the company’s fastest-growing business line and its most significant potential market opportunity. You will utilize your understanding of system architectures and GPU technology to introduce new GPU boards for datacenter architectures featuring GPU-accelerated clusters. Your responsibilities will involve planning and establishing processes, outlining test requirements, and refining the production line to introduce new GPU boards. You will also play a pivotal role in helping the team achieve the cost and quality metrics that are considered industry-leading.
Your responsibilities will include:
Using your extensive knowledge of high-speed networks and signals to design and develop new diagnostic tests and troubleshoot procedures for next-gen products.
Applying your expertise in system power-up and handshakes during boot to troubleshoot complex interactions between hardware, firmware, and software on faulty boards.
Suggesting, driving, and ensuring adherence to DFx requirements for robust signal integrity performance concerning layout, mechanical components, assembly procedures, and so on.
Creating and issuing test specifications for system-level manufacturing screens for all new products to meet the required hardware coverage, quality, and product requirements for various business units.
Collaborating with CM to specify the product assembly line, the number of test stations, and the number of assembly fixtures, optimized for cost and throughput.
Developing innovative solutions and workarounds through extensive data analysis and lab experimentation to solve challenging yield and test issues seen on the production floor.
Leading optimization and continuous improvement efforts on the production screen specification definition processes to minimize waste and meet test time, yield, and DPPM requirements.
Supporting customer-facing and quality teams during customer escalations to understand the problem and remediate identified coverage gaps.
What we’re looking for:
A BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals, knowledge in digital design, signal integrity, statistics, timing analysis, fault analysis, sampling, and computer architecture.
Ways to distinguish yourself:
Prior experience in board/system level electrical design.
Experience with Perl, C/C++, Windows, and Linux.
Offering competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are commonly recognized as one of the most coveted employers in the technology world. We have some of the most innovative and dedicated people globally working for us and, due to unparalleled growth, our top-tier teams are rapidly expanding. If you’re creative, self-driven, and genuinely passionate about your work, we’d love to hear from you!
