Terms of Reference

1. General Background

In alignment with the 2021-2025 Long-term Strategy, the UNHCR Korea Private Sector Partnership team (PSP Korea) is committed to accelerating digital transformation. Our efforts are centered around implementing the UNHCR Digital ecosystem and enhancing data maturity and literacy in reporting and analytics. To support these goals, PSP Korea is looking to recruit a dedicated Data Analyst to fill a position opening due to the current incumbent’s resignation. This role is vital for strengthening our fundraising and donor development strategies, driving income growth, and enhancing donor commitment.

2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment

The Senior PSP IG Assistant (Data Analysis) will work under the direct supervision of a Data Management Associate. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing data analysis tasks for private sector fundraising programs, reviewing fundraising results, and analyzing campaign efficiency to bolster data-driven decision-making in fundraising and donor management programs.
• Managing data marts, ensuring data quality management, standardizing analysis criteria, and overseeing process management.
• Analyzing, preparing, and providing data, reports, and insights on donor acquisition, fundraising performance, and donor retention.
• Providing data support and insights for global donor development projects.
• Overseeing the payment process for donation withdrawals.
• Supporting the team with data management and analysis, including change management, KPI management, and data standardization.
• Performing other related duties as required.

3. Monitoring and Progress Controls

The individual contractor will be based at the UNHCR Korea office, working directly under a Data Management Associate. They will engage in strategic analysis and data interpretation concerning donor acquisition and retention programs. This effort aims to significantly enhance the growth of PSP income, particularly in Individual Giving. The derived insights will be pivotal in broadening the scope of fundraising activities, increasing donor volume, and engagement. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of integrity in managing donor and fundraising data.

4. Qualifications and Experience

Education

- Completion of a high school diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, or other related fields.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years of work experience for high school diploma or 1 year of experience with a BA or higher in Data Analysis, CRM management, or Marketing strategy.

Key Competencies & Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PPT).
• Knowledge or experience with Data Mart and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Fluency in English and Korean (both written and spoken).
