About the Role: Senior Python Engineer

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Python Engineer to join our team. If you are passionate about the payments industry, have a solid grasp of card issuing processes, and excel in optimizing payment workflows, this opportunity is for you.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain state-of-the-art payment solutions, particularly focusing on card issuance. Utilizing your experience and strategic insights, you will meticulously design and streamline payment ecosystems to drive their evolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and systems with a core focus on card issuing, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability.
• Define and enforce clean, efficient, and maintainable code practices adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Provide strategic guidance on technology selection, system integration, and overall solution design.

Qualifications and Technical Proficiency

• 5+ years of experience in Python REST API development.
• Proficiency with async web frameworks such as FastAPI, Sanic, Falcon, or Django.
• Experience with SQL databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Familiarity with ORM libraries like SQLAlchemy.
• Proven experience in client communication.
• In-depth understanding of card issuing and payment processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloud Services: AWS.
• Proficiency with Messaging Systems: Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with ETL Tools: Prefect, Celery, Airflow.
• Understanding of Communication Protocols: gRPC/protobuf.
