Job Title: Senior Research Analyst, Global Analytics & Measurement

Job Description

The Audience Insights & Analytics department supports content licensing (TVD) and International Direct to Consumer (D2C) businesses. We offer audience-based quantitative and qualitative tracking, analysis, and reporting across all international territories and consumer-facing platforms.

The Senior Research Analyst role requires a strong analytical skillset and broad knowledge of digital products. You will draw insights from multiple data sources, providing the right insights and measurement approach for internal stakeholders. Your primary focus is to drive international growth in TVD content licensing, NBCUniversal’s streaming presence, and other digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use various research and analytical tools to inform strategic decisions that support revenue growth, business planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop detailed audience reports, analyses, and performance summaries in conjunction with the Sr. Director.
  • Distill large datasets into meaningful insights for non-research audiences.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of NBCU’s digital portfolio, including SVOD, AVOD, FAST, and Transactional data.
  • Analyze data from partner databases (e.g., Netflix, Freevee, YouTube) to enhance product development, marketing techniques, and content strategies.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity by cleaning, filtering, and setting up efficient data collection systems.
  • Develop custom data models for application to data sets.
  • Monitor and communicate digital market trends and competitive landscape to stakeholders.
  • Represent NBCUniversal in industry initiatives (e.g., BASE, DEG), supplying data where appropriate, and communicate results.
  • Collaborate with other analytics departments to innovate on best practices and technology development.
  • Present actionable consumer insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the digital media landscape, streaming platforms, and consumer behavior across multiple devices.
  • Exceptional numeracy and analytical skills, capable of creating insightful and visually appealing reports.
  • Proficiency with computer and data tools, including Excel, VBA, Power Query, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously with tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience building relationships across multiple groups/divisions.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience analyzing and using 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party datasets.
  • Experience with media analysis tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, BARB, Digital-i, Plum Research, Comscore, Nielsen).
