As a Senior Research Engineer at Verisk, your primary role involves enhancing and developing innovative flood mapping methods and technologies. Building upon our acclaimed Inland Flood Models for regions including the US, Canada, Central Europe, Italy, and Japan, your expertise will be crucial as we aim to expand these technologies across Europe and other global markets.
Your day-to-day duties will include working closely with a diverse team of meteorologists, climate scientists, engineers, software professionals, and statisticians. You will spearhead the integration of state-of-the-art flood modeling technologies into our pioneering flood risk assessment software, significantly aiding clients in managing flood risks efficiently.
