Key Responsibilities

The Senior Research Scientist will lead efforts in:

• Developing both physics-based and data-driven models to optimize the dynamics across interconnected data center systems, covering aspects from computing to cooling and electrical supply;
• Creating advanced optimization algorithms aimed at reducing carbon footprints while adhering to operational constraints;
• Mentoring and supervising junior graduate students to foster academic growth and innovation;
• Authoring high-impact technical reports, papers, patents, and disclosures that advance the field;
• Collaborating closely with engineers and team members to innovate and enhance system features;
• Improving application responsiveness and troubleshooting software issues as they arise.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A PhD Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Information System, or a related discipline;
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience;
• A strong track record of research, preferably published in top-tier computer science or engineering journals/conferences;
• Expertise in Python and familiar with packages such as NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, or TensorFlow;
• Proficiency in other programming languages like C/C++ or MATLAB;
• Excellent verbal communication skills coupled with effective problem-solving abilities;
• A keen attention to detail.
