The Role

The foundation of Flo is medical and scientific credibility. Our teams engage with thought leaders and KOLs (120+ to date), establish partnerships with renowned institutions (e.g., Stanford, Johns Hopkins, and Northwestern), assist in designing AI tools, ensure medical accuracy, and drive credibility across our platform.

We’re seeking a Senior Research Scientist with expertise in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) to join our Science team.

Your primary focus will be on quantifying the real-world value of the Flo app as a digital intervention for women's health. You’ll employ various research methods to demonstrate the value and ROI of using our app. Your expertise will inform product and business proposals, positioning you as a subject matter expert with opportunities to publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • PhD qualified in a health-related field (e.g., health economics, health policy, public health, biostatistics, reproductive medicine).
  • Strong research experience in health economic studies.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital health and outcomes-based performance research in industry settings.
  • Advanced training and experience with research methods, study design, and statistics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using common statistical languages and packages (e.g., R, SQL, Python).
  • Proven track record of publishing health economics research, including peer-reviewed publications.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the women's health field.
  • Understanding of the US payer environment, including women's healthcare coverage and health policy.
  • Knowledge of the health tech product and medical device development cycle.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Research Scientist, you will:

  • Develop the 2024-2025 scientific strategy focusing on the health economic impacts of the Flo app.
  • Lead HEOR projects to quantify the real-world value of Flo as a digital health intervention for women’s health.
  • Expand the Scientific Advisory Board by building a network of health economics research experts.
  • Execute other scientific studies to establish Flo as a credible medical tool.
  • Write research papers for publication in international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal teams and external channels.

Performance Targets

  • Contribute to at least two research directions for the 2024-2025 scientific strategy.
  • Produce a minimum of two scientific publications within 12 months.
  • Increase the Scientific Advisory Board with health economic experts by 30% within the next 12 months.

Salary Range

£60,000—£82,500 per year (dependent on skills, competencies, and experience).
