About the Role
We are searching for a Senior Robotics Research Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team of talented professionals and contribute to cutting-edge robotics technology. In this position, you would be involved in integrating and testing robotics embedded systems and sensors, both in real-world environments and hardware-in-the-loop simulations. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams that operate close to the hardware, as well as internal consumers of sensor data. This role necessitates close collaboration with colleagues at our robotics lab in the Greater Boston Area. Relocation assistance will be provided for this position.

Responsibilities
1. Lead the development of the robotics platform and the roadmap for more advanced robotics embedded systems.
2. Integrate and test robotics embedded systems and sensors, both in real-world and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
3. Collaborate with multifunctional teams operating close to the hardware, alongside internal consumers of sensor data.
4. Work onsite in our robotics lab in the Greater Boston area.
Your Technical and Professional Expertise
1. At least three years of industry experience in robotics, drones, or autonomous vehicles.
2. At least three years of software development on Linux.
3. Strong hands-on experience with embedded PCs, Raspberry Pis, etc.
4. Experience in sending and receiving data from sensors and actuators - RGB cameras, LiDAR, motor controllers, etc.
5. Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART.
6. Excellent initiative and positive attitude.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What Will Make You Standout
1. Experience with Nvidia embedded systems.
2. Experience in using and configuring ROS1/ROS2 on embedded systems.
3. Experience in integrating perception into embedded systems - cameras, IMU, GPS, LIDAR.
4. Rapid prototyping.
5. Familiarity with ARM hardware architecture and software development.
