Position Summary: Senior Scientist, Computational Biology

We seek a motivated computational biologist to join our team. You will leverage transcriptomic and genomic data to discover new treatments for human diseases. As a crucial member of our biology team, you will drive the design and analysis of in vitro and in vivo validation experiments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a scientific team to validate novel targets with the goal of developing new therapeutics.
  • Design and analyze disease-specific experiments to address biological questions.
  • Develop and deploy statistical models to interpret transcriptomic and functional genomics experiments.
  • Communicate key findings to stakeholders through written materials and presentations.
  • Work closely with various team members across the organization.

Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent experience in genomics, transcriptomics, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a similar discipline.
  • 3-5 years of industry/post-doc experience in analyzing and interpreting transcriptomic and/or functional genomics data.
  • Proficiency in writing and interpreting data analysis code.
  • Experience in target validation or human/cancer genomics analysis is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a matrix environment.
  • High energy, attention to detail, and a passion for developing transformative medicines.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in target validation within an industrial setting.
