About the role Data forms a crucial part of Arctic Wolf Network's mission to resolve cyber risk. We process and scrutinize hundreds of billions of events every day to detect malicious and risky activity. Additionally, we're passionate about data and addressing cybersecurity challenges for our clients. The AI & Data Science team focuses on analyzing Arctic Wolf's product platforms, internal business hurdles, and customer difficulties to develop new products and features. As a Senior Security Data Scientist in the AI & Data Science team, you'll be responsible for providing the company with technical leadership and creating innovative solutions using state-of-the-art advanced analytics techniques. This involves collaborating closely with engineering, product, operations, and other teams to comprehend the most critical technical and business analytics needs to drive security-focused analytics outcomes. A successful candidate is self-driven with a passion for excellence and attention to detail. About you - Excellent command of Python and advanced SQL - Proven history in research, data science, and engineering concerning building and shipping machine learning or statistical models scalable to massive volumes of data (billions of data points) - Proven experience with key ML libraries including scikit-learn, tensorflow, pytorch, sparkml - Proven experience with data fusion and data purifying techniques for generating labelled data sets - Solid understanding of classical ML and DNN modeling techniques for supervised and unsupervised learning, and sequence modeling. - Strong understanding of 3 of either PGMs, RL, GNN, statistical modeling, or time series modeling - Strong understanding of ensembles and multi-modal machine learning techniques to solve complex problems - Experience in developing synthetic data sets using generative and statistical modeling techniques - Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and related technologies such as Spark, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, etc. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (we use AWS here) and automation technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Jenkins, Chef, etc.) is a plus - Familiarity with the information/cybersecurity domain is a plus Responsibilities - Analyze and correlate intricate data from multiple sources - Perform exploratory data analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the data - Collaborate with stakeholders, including domain experts and product, to comprehend use cases and domain-specific problems and identify opportunities for applying machine learning to drive outcomes - Develop tools and algorithms for generating synthetic data sets - Define KPIs to measure model performance - Develop and test statistical and machine learning models for efficacy and operational impact - Write production-quality code and collaborate with other software engineering teams to deploy models into production - Support deployed models as a subject matter expert - Be innovative and design novel features and methods to push beyond our current capabilities About Arctic Wolf At Arctic Wolf, we're fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that welcomes diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and ideas, making our teams even stronger as we expand globally.
