EY-ROAM and Its Role: EY-ROAM is a premier provider of electricity market modeling services in Australia. We provide evidence-based insights to help our clients make informed decisions in times of uncertainty and transformation. Our flexible software can be applied in any global electricity market or power system. Our clients span renewable generation developers, energy sector investors, transmission and distribution network service providers, retailers, regulators, and government departments.
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Senior Software and Data Model Developer to join the EY-ROAM team in Brisbane, Sydney, or Perth, within EY's Strategy and Transactions practice.
As the custodian of our proprietary modeling suite, you will support our client-facing staff by continuously improving our software tools, datasets, and data feeds related to commercial variables, weather, energy resource information, and electricity market operations and trading. You will take the lead on various critical software and IT innovation programs to help us maintain and expand our market-leading status. You will also contribute to the development of software and datasets for emerging new service offerings and fulfill unique software development and data analysis requests for specific client engagements.
The successful candidate will demonstrate high-quality analytical and creative problem-solving skills, be well-organized with the ability to manage competing priorities, effectively team with client-facing staff, and be prepared to rapidly expand their understanding of modeling energy markets. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment. In parallel, you will have the opportunity to tailor your learning and development towards your key areas of interest.
