About the Role

We are on the lookout for a passionate Backend Engineer with a proven record of innovation and collaboration. In this role, you'll develop scalable applications serving millions of users, working closely with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance products and features.
• Create a seamless user experience for the products you work on.
• Participate in large-scale design updates and rollouts.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to scale products effectively.
• Partner with product managers and architects to drive future innovations.
• Join a cross-functional team with end-to-end responsibilities.
• Improve code quality through unit tests, automation, and code reviews.
• Develop new features to solve real-world customer problems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional server development experience using Java.
• Strong understanding of web-based architecture, including web servers, load balancing, and databases.
• Proficiency in SQL (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Experience in data-driven web application development with the latest trends, including the Amazon AWS ecosystem.
• Proven experience in building and using RESTful APIs.
• Experience in building and operating large-scale systems.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in teams.
• Hands-on experience in multi-threading and cloud application concepts.
• Familiarity with SQS, Kafka, and other queuing systems.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of workflow orchestration platforms like Netflix Conductor.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with large-scale business intelligence applications.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with JavaScript and web technologies such as React.
