About the Role

As part of the Snowflake Product Platform backend team, you'll operate at the intersection of software engineering and data engineering. Your role will be vital in enabling other teams to build data-driven products on our petabyte-scale data warehouse, capable of handling multi-trillion row tables and executing over a million analytic queries daily.

What We Are Looking For

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a backend focus and an eagerness to work with data-driven technologies. Ideal candidates will possess a keen interest in data, value reliability and quality, and thrive in small, autonomous teams where they can have full ownership of their applications. Daily, our team works with Java, Kafka, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Snowflake.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Experience consistently delivering high-value, high-impact, cross-team projects
• Proficiency in working within small teams with full ownership over their apps
• A strong sense of ownership in all projects
• A customer-centric attitude and the ability to develop informed opinions about the HubSpot product

Required Skills:

• Experience with any JVM language such as Java or Scala
• Proficiency with SQL and ideally, experience with Snowflake or other data warehouses
• Experience working with data in any capacity is a significant plus
