Senior Software Engineer - Big Data

Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid)

Duration: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Big Data at Capgemini, you will:

• Leverage at least 6 years of experience with Big Data Hadoop and 4 years with Spark, Scala, and SQL to develop big data solutions that process and analyze large datasets, enhancing data accessibility and performance.
• Design and build complex data models using Anaplan, integrating data from various sources for comprehensive analysis and forecasting.
• Manage Data Hub Models to ensure seamless data integration and efficient data workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver customized data solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support for optimizing and maintaining big data infrastructure.

Required Skills

We are looking for candidates with:

• 6 to 8 years of experience in Big Data and Data Engineering using Scala or Java.
• Expertise in designing and developing Scala-related data pipelines and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in writing robust code in Scala and experience with Spark Scala API.
• Strong experience with Hadoop-centric schedulers and big data reporting system integration via API.
• Comprehensive understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Banking domain knowledge and regulatory reporting experience are strong advantages.
