Job Description: What This Role Involves

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Bigdata, you’ll:
- Develop cutting-edge Observability platforms on a large scale
- Craft high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by applying best practices in software engineering
- Create simple, modular designs for new software that allow for easy extensions and customizations by other developers
- Build robust data engineering components to enhance our big data product offerings, enabling self-service capabilities
- Act as a mentor, encouraging knowledge sharing among team members
- Maintain a proactive approach in a team-centered environment

Qualifications: Are You the Right Fit?

Essential Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience with Java or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Extensive background (5-7 years) in data structures, algorithms, OOP design, SQL, and performance considerations
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using Bigdata technologies like Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop
- Capable of independently making and executing decisions
- Excellent debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience:
- Master's degree in a technical field
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Observability practices (metrics, logs, traces)
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Jaeger, Application Performance Monitoring, and Jmeter
