VTS, a leader in the commercial real estate technology sector, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to enhance our Data Science & Analytics Engineering (DSAE) team within the Platform organization. Located in the heart of Toronto, this hybrid role requires your presence in-office 2-3 days per week, allowing for flexibility and balance.

Role Responsibilities:

Your Impact:

• Building Data Pipelines: Develop scalable, reliable data pipelines to support analytics and automation of data processes.
• Designing Data Models: Create robust data architectures that cater to the business's reporting and analytical needs.
• Enhancing Tools and Processes: Improve our existing data capabilities in collaboration with the data services team to enhance efficiency and insight acquisition.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to facilitate independent data product development.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry tools and trends, applying them to our business context.

What We Look For:

Our ideal candidate will be skilled in:

• Analytics and data engineering roles with strong engineering foundations.
• Data warehousing concepts such as Kimball, Inmon, or Data Vault.
• Building and maintaining data pipelines using tools like dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, and Fivetran.
• Advanced programming with SQL, Python, and familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Developing, deploying, and improving analytical models with a proactive and curious approach to technical challenges.
• Communicating complex data concepts in simpler terms to non-technical stakeholders.
