Join Our Cloud AutoScaling Team

The Cloud AutoScaling team at ClickHouse is focused on developing high-quality vertical and horizontal auto-scaling capabilities to enhance our cloud-based services. This role involves close collaboration with our core database team to evolve ClickHouse into a premier cloud-native database. If you have a passion for cloud technology and scalable solutions, there could not be a more thrilling environment to apply your expertise.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Develop on a state-of-the-art Cloud Native platform using major public clouds.
  • Enhance the metrics pipeline and create algorithms for auto-scaling.
  • Integrate with our Kubernetes operators for seamless scalability.
  • Collaborate with the core ClickHouse and data plane teams to support auto-scaling and infrastructure improvement.
  • Design and maintain a robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed infrastructure.

What We Look For

Our ideal candidate possesses:

  • A minimum of 5 years of software development experience in building and operating fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling and time-series forecasting with hands-on experience using large-scale real-world datasets.
  • Software development skills in languages such as Go, C/C++, Java, or similar.
  • Strong familiarity with SQL and Python/R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience in developing cloud infrastructure services, ideally with Kubernetes practices.
  • A passion for problem-solving and experience working with a public cloud provider like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a knack for working effectively within and across teams.
