Job Opportunity: Senior Software Engineer at Chubb

Chubb is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in ETL/ELT development utilizing IICS-CDI (Cloud Data Integration). The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience with IICS Cloud Console and PowerCenter Designer to drive our data integration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL solutions using IICS-CDI to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
• Develop and maintain ETL mappings, workflows, and schedules using IICS - CDI and other orchestration tools.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency through data validation, cleansing, and enrichment activities.
• Monitor ETL jobs to guarantee successful completion and troubleshoot any issues related to job performance or errors.
• Create and maintain SQL-based database objects, including tables, views, indexes, and triggers, ensuring optimized query performance.
• Troubleshoot database performance issues and identify solutions to enhance efficiency.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Solid experience in SQL and database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, and preferably Azure Synapse.
• Knowledge of distributed file systems such as HDFS and ADLS.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT frameworks, and best practices.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data integration techniques.
• Experience with version control tools like Git, and familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and support team members in a collaborative environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Certifications:

• Informatica Cloud Data and Application Integration R38, Professional Certification.
