Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Patuxent River, MD team. You will support the Minotaur Mission Management System, enhancing an operator’s ability to track various data sources from both sea and land.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to build product backlog for Scrum team
• System design and software implementation of proof-of-concept prototypes involving various engineering disciplines
• Support prototype evaluation and experimental operations at military facilities
• Integrate systems on various aircraft during ground and/or flight tests
• Develop and test software interfaces that control ISR sensors
• Design and implement graphical user interfaces
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Lead a small team of developers
• Travel up to 20% of the time

Essential Job Responsibilities

You will design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems. You will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers to plan, design, develop, and utilize electronic data processing systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 7 years with a Master's degree; 4 years with a PhD; or 13 years experience with a high school diploma
• Experience in software development with Java and/or C++
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
• Willingness to work in Patuxent River, MD

Preferred Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in algorithms, computer networking, and interfaces
• Experience with Minotaur Mission Management System
• Experience with DoD and DHS
• Strong communication skills and collaborative work experience
• Previous leadership experience in software development teams

Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity are required.
