Job Description

You will become part of the ServiceNow Cloud Services Big Data Team. This team is creating the next-generation platform that gathers, stores, and provides real-time access to substantial amounts of data.

You will lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow's in-house real-time data visualization and analytics platform, supporting ServiceNow's growth towards exceeding 10 billion in revenue.

Responsibilities in this role:

  • Introduce your innovation and experience in designing and developing the upcoming generation of data analytics platforms using state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Establish procedures for the entire development cycle including design, implementation, unit testing, code review, test automation, etc.
  • Identify and assimilate the appropriate technologies to enhance the scalability and efficiency of the engineering group.
  • Closely collaborate with key stakeholders and product owners to lead technical design for different use case requirements.
  • Cooperate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, network, QA, etc.) to ensure a seamless process from development to deployment.

Qualifications

To excel in this role you have:

  • Expertise in JavaScript, NodeJS, Webpack, ReactJS or other contemporary UI frameworks.
  • A minimum of 4 years of software development experience and strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Experience with data analytics, data visualization, BI tools and the Hadoop ecosystem.
  • Aptitude to manage projects from start to finish.
  • Able to deliver high-quality software that's been unit tested, code-reviewed, and regularly checked for continuous integration.
  • Comfortability with backend Restful API development, preferably in Java
  • A strong background in complex SQL and data analytics
  • Passion for learning and adopting novel concepts and patterns
  • Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and software design.

GCS-23

The base pay for positions located in the Bay Area range from $133,300 - $226,700, in addition to equity (if applicable), variable/incentive compensation, and benefits. Sales roles typically offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. The indicated base pay is a guideline, and individual total compensation will depend on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also provide health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time-off plan, and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographical location of the role and could change based on the work location.
