Job Description

You will be an integral part of the ServiceNow Cloud Services Big Data Team.  The Big Data team is dedicated to building the next-generation platform that gathers, stores, and offers real-time access to substantial data volumes.

Your role will encompass driving the design and implementation of the in-house real-time data visualization and analytics platform at ServiceNow to sustain its continued growth. 

Responsibilities:

  • Bring your innovative ideas and experience to design and develop the next-generation data analytics platform using cutting-edge technologies. 
  • Standardize processes for the complete development cycle that includes design, implementation, unit testing, code review, and automated testing. 
  • Explore and integrate the right technologies to enhance the scalability and productivity of the engineering group. 
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and product owners to drive the technical design for various use cases. 
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, network, QA, etc.) to ensure a seamless cycle from development to deployment.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Expertise in frontend software development with JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, Webpack, or other contemporary UI frameworks.
  • Experience with data analytics, data visualization, BI tools, and the Hadoop ecosystem.
  • At least 4 years of software development experience along with strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Experience and knowledge on ServiceNow Platform development is preferred.
  • The ability to take projects from conception to completion.
  • The ability to produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
  • Familiarity with backend Restful API development, preferably in Java.
  • A solid background in complex SQL and data analytics.
  • An enthusiasm for learning and adopting new ideas and patterns.
  • Robust Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.

GCS-23

For Bay Area positions, we offer a base salary range between $133,300 - $226,700, plus equity (where applicable), variable/incentive compensation, and benefits. Normally, sales positions come with a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. The mentioned base pay is a guideline, and individual total compensation can vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also provide health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with a company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan, and family leave programs (eligibility requirements apply). The compensation is largely based on the geographic location of the role and can be subject to change based on the work location.
