As a valued member of Stryker’s AI innovation unit, you will collaborate with trailblazers, industry visionaries, innovators, and inventors dedicated to bringing computer vision, AI/ML, and digital innovation to healthcare settings. You'll engage in fast-paced cycles of innovation and develop core technologies that power an array of Stryker’s solutions, including surgical robotics and navigation, image-guided surgery, treatment selection, outcome assessment, and clinical decision intelligence.

You will apply your core skills across various deployment platforms such as mobile applications, cloud services, SDKs, embedded systems, edge devices, and mixed reality (XR) platforms. You'll also have opportunities to work across a wide range of therapeutic areas, from orthopedics and neurosurgery to emergency care and operating room safety and efficiency.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on building systems and applications interfacing with AI models in a cloud-native (Azure) environment. You will design, develop, and maintain complex software applications that seamlessly integrate with cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain complex, high-performance, and scalable full-stack software applications that interface with AI models and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as data scientists, AI researchers, mobile app developers, and AI/ML engineers to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.
• Contribute to the selection, evaluation, and implementation of software technologies, tools, and frameworks in a cloud-native (Azure) environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, ensuring optimal application performance and reliability when interfacing with AI/ML systems.
• Assist in the planning and estimation of software development projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely delivery of solutions.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and user guides.

What You Will Need

• BS or equivalent with 7+ years of work experience (MBA and/or MS preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, focusing on full-stack development.
• Strong knowledge of multiple programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Proven experience with front-end technologies and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Solid understanding of back-end technologies and frameworks like Node.js, Django, or Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM tools.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform, services, and best practices.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, technologies, and integration techniques.
• Experience with version control systems like GitLab and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
